ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

The instructor, Bruce Kawanami, graduated in 1981 from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He worked at Intel Corporation for five years and at Altera Corporation for over 13 years in Product, Test, and Reliability Engineering of semiconductor devices. His teaching career began in 1999 at Monta Vista High School with the ROP Engineering Technology class. Bruce cleared his Adult/Vocational Education credential.

Bruce lives in South San Jose with his wife and special son. Their daughter lives in Orange, CA, attending post graduate studies at Cal State Fullerton. Their youngest son began his college career at Azusa Pacific University this fall. Bruce volunteers time to Santa Clara Valley Japanese Christian Church and Special Olympics. Bruce is also an active member of the Board of Directors for the Synopsys Silicon Valley Science and Engineering Fair.
