Founded in 1989, the Silicon Valley Engineering Council is a non-profit educational organization comprised of local engineering companies.
The purpose of the Engineering Education Awards program is to promote excellence in engineering education in the Santa Clara Valley.
Each year, SVEC makes a number of cash awards
to
worthy applicants. The goals of the SVEC scholarship program are to identify
and support deserving students whose studies are aligned toward engineering,
engineering technology, or technology, and to help them achieve their
educational goals. Engineering and Technology students graduating from
high school, or presently enrolled in undergraduate community college
and university programs are encouraged to apply. A short
essay is required.
Mr. K had one $1,000 cash winner in 2007 and 2009
