At Monta Vista High School, we are committed to the education of young people in the discipline of theatre arts.  In a nurturing and personalized environment, students are taught the importance of professionalism, commitment and teamwork in their quest to learn more about life on and off the stage.  The emphasis is on a full appreciation of theatre and not a single “star” approach, and students are expected to partake in all aspects of a theatre production: acting, technical, and front of house.  Productions are of the highest possible literary and theatrical value, and professionals from the field are often brought in to enhance both after school productions and Drama classes.  Monta Vista High School is also the proud sponsor of International Thespian Society Troupe 5270, an honor society that recognizes outstanding students in Theatre Arts.
